Service Details

Patients needing to register for the Domiciliary Home Oxygen Service in Cylinders are to ensure they have a valid prescription for medical oxygen issued by a registered doctor. Prescriptions are valid for maximum of 6 months unless otherwise noted on the prescription.

• Patients residing in Malta are to register for the service at Honest Pharmacy, Qormi (ex-Anici) or Multigas Dispensary, Kirkop at the locations and opening hours indicated on this page.

• Patients residing in Gozo are to register for the service at Għajnsielem Pharmacy, Għajnsielem at the location and opening hours indicated on this page.

During registration, which needs to be done in person by the Patient or their Authorised Carer, a Patient Agreement will be signed by the Patient/Carer and Multigas. Our Pharmacists will explain the use of medical oxygen and the correct use of the cylinder, regulator and mask. The first cylinder, regulator, humidifier bottle and mask will be provided. The first cylinder and regulator are supplied against a deposit of €90.00. The first mask and humidifier bottle to each patient are supplied free of charge.
Additional cylinders may be provided at Multigas' discretion against a further deposit of €90.00/cylinder.
Additional masks / humidifier bottles / regulator seals / regulators may be purchased from Multigas.

When the cylinder is empty, it may be exchanged for a full cylinder at any one of the Authorised Pharmacies indicated on this page: Honest Pharmacy, Qormi; Qawra Pharmacy, Multigas Dispensary, Kirkop; Ghajnsielem Pharmacy.

Alternatively the Patient may opt for cylinder home delivery in Malta as per schedule indicated on this page, by placing their order with Multigas via phone 2249 2000 or email sales@multigas.com from Mon-Fri between 7:30am - 12:00pm. Orders are to reach Multigas at least 2 working days before the scheduled delivery day.

Patients should ensure that they always have a valid prescription for medical oxygen for continued medical oxygen cylinder supply. Renewed prescriptions can be sent to Multigas on sales@multigas.com or presented at any one of the Authorised Pharmacies.

It is also important for patients who make use of the home delivery service of Domiciliary Oxygen to follow the above instructions during the changeover period.  Home deliveries will continue as usual, after the client has exchanged the first cylinder.

When medical oxygen is no longer needed, the cylinders and regulator are to be returned in good condition to Multigas or an Authorised Pharmacy. A valid bank account IBAN number is to be provided for the refund of deposits, which will be transferred by the 15th of the next month subject to the items having been returned in good condition.
Damages to the cylinder or regulator, or loss of cylinder or regulator will be charged to the Patient/Carer.
