Cylinder and Cylinder Packs
Our compressed gas cylinder service is a comprehensive solution designed to meet your industrial and medical gas needs. We provide a wide range of gases, stored under high pressure in portable cylinders.
Multigas fills Oxygen, Nitrogen, Carbon Dioxide, Argon, Argon/CO2 mix and Air cylinders. Specific medical gases, high purity gases and standard mixtures are imported from our long-standing suppliers and stocked locally. Specific gases and calibration mixtures can also be supplied on order.
Rental
Supplier cylinders are provided on a rental basis. This gives the customer peace of mind that they’re receiving well maintained cylinders conformant to safety standards. It also allows the exchange of full-for-empty cylinders, ensuring that the customer is kept well supplied. A rental account will be opened before first cylinder rental. Rental conditions are found in the Cylinder Rental Agreement.
Delivery
We offer a free delivery service for rental cylinders in Malta. Different localities are served on scheduled days of the week. This service ensures proper transportation of cylinders with appropriate vehicles and delivery people certified to carry dangerous goods.
For standard products in stock, the customer order is to reach us on info@multigas.com or tel: +356 2249 2000 by noon of the day preceding the scheduled delivery day for the customer’s locality.
Safety and Sustainability
We prioritise the safe handling and use of gases for our employees and customers. Multigas cylinders are sourced from carefully selected reputable manufacturers, and suppliers, conformant with ADR and the Transportable Pressure Equipment Directive (TPED). Our cylinders are periodically tested and regularly maintained in our inhouse certified test shop facility to ensure they are reliable and safe.
Cylinder Tracking
Multigas cylinders are uniquely barcoded and tracked in the Multigas cylinder tracking system. This ensures that cylinders are withdrawn for periodic testing in a timely manner. It also tracks the issuing and returns of cylinders on each customer account, for current rental management.
Cylinder Sizes & Cylinder Packs
Most rental cylinders are of large size, typically of 40-50ltr volume. We encourage customers to assess their demand and check that a rented cylinder can be use and returned/exchanged within months.
Should the customer’s require small quantities of gas, we suggest they consider buying their own small gas cylinder which can be refilled when needed, without the necessity of rental agreements.
For applications having higher volume gas demands of oxygen, nitrogen or argon, cylinder packs may be considered. Cylinder packs are bundles of cylinders in a steel cage, manifolded together to one main valve. This allows the customer to withdraw gas from all the cylinders simultaneously and avoids the need for frequent cylinder changes. Cylinder packs are subject to availability.
Customer Cylinders
We also refill customer cylinders. Each customer cylinder is inspected prior to filling to ensure that it is conformant to regulatory requirements. Filling lead times apply depending on the gas.
