Liquid Cylinders and Dewars
Liquid cylinders are specialised mobile pressurised containers for holding liquid nitrogen or oxygen. They typically range in size from 70ltrs to 250ltrs. Smaller open-top containers are known as Dewars. These are usually not pressurised and their typical capacity ranges from 1ltr to 50ltrs.
They are particularly suitable for applications where nitrogen needs to be used in liquid form to cool or freeze the sample. They can also be used in cases where the gas demand is too high for cylinder supply but too low for bulk gas supply.

We have a specialised filling station for these containers. We also offer the collection/delivery of the empty liquid cylinder or dewar from/to the customer, depending on the scheduled delivery days for the customer’s locality.
Safety and Sustainability
Liquid nitrogen and oxygen have temperatures of -196°C and -183°C respectively. Appropriate personal protection equipment including special cryogenic-gloves, safety glasses should be worn when handling these liquids.
Furthermore, since the nitrogen or oxygen will venting from the liquid cylinder or dewar as a gas and will accumulate in the area unless it is well-ventilated. Oxygen monitoring systems should be used to protect the users from a hazardous oxygen depletion / enrichment situation.
