Bulk Gases

Bulk Gases

How it Works

Bulk Gases

Bulk Gas distribution is a means of delivering large volumes of gas product in liquid form by means of road tankers which refill specialised storage tanks at the customer’s site. In this way, one bulk gas delivery can supply the equivalent of over a hundred compressed gas cylinders!

Our bulk cryogenic gas delivery service is designed to provide a reliable, safe, and efficient solution for high-volume gas needs. We specialize in the delivery of liquid oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide at extremely low temperatures. Bulk gas supply is best suited for processes requiring a constant high volume demand of gas

Reliability

We understand that gas supply continuity is critical for many of our customers’ operations. Multigas has always sought to build robustness into its process and has invested in two air separation plants for oxygen and nitrogen, and multiple storage tanks for these products as well as for carbon dioxide. Our road tanker fleet today consists of over seven specialised tankers to ensure uninterrupted delivery.

Efficiency

Our delivery service is designed for efficiency. We employ advanced telemetry systems to monitor customer tank levels and schedule deliveries when they’re needed, reducing the risk of run-outs. No need for the customer to monitor the tank’s level gauge on a daily basis.

Quality

The bulk delivery system is designed to maintain product quality throughout the process, providing the customer with operational stability and peace of mind.

Safety and Sustainability

Safety is our utmost priority. Our experienced team is trained in handling and transporting cryogenic gases, ensuring the safe delivery of these extremely cold substances. We adhere to stringent safety protocols and use state-of-the-art equipment to prevent any mishaps during transportation and delivery. Our technical team has years of experience in handling and maintaining cryogenic storage tanks to ensure optimum efficiency.

How it works

Together with the customer, we first evaluate the expected gas requirement to select the correct storage tank size and characteristics, and assess the customer’s site for storage tank location and road tanker access. In many cases, an ambient vapouriser is added after the tank so the liquid product is vapourised and supplied to the customer’s process as gas.

The vacuum-insulated cryogenic tank can be bought by the customer or leased from Multigas for an agreed period of time. Multigas will take care of the installation of the tank on the customer’s plinth, ensuring proper tank handling to avoid damage to the specialised vessel. The tank is then carefully conditioned before first filling with bulk liquid, to avoid thermal stress and maintain product quality.

For tanks equipped with the telemetry service, a tank level is agreed with the customer. Once that level is reached, Multigas triggers the re-filling process within two working days, informing the customer of delivery.
