How to Order
Dry Ice
Why DRY Ice? – because it Doesn’t MELT.
Dry Ice is the solid form of carbon dioxide, and has a temperature of -78.3°C. An interesting feature of dry ice is that it sublimates directly from solid into gas without melting to a liquid, and it leaves no residue. This characteristic makes it an excellent choice for cleaning and cooling purposes.
We cater to a wide range of industries, including but not limited to:
Food and Beverage: For flash freezing, transportation, and storage of perishable items.
Cleaning: For non-abrasive blast cleaning in various industries.
Pharmaceuticals: For transporting temperature-sensitive medical supplies and vaccines.
Entertainment: For creating fog effects in theatres and events.
How to order
Dry ice is produced freshly for every order in the form of pellets which may be of 3mm or 16mm size depending on production run settings.
Orders are to be collected by the customer from our premises in Kirkop on the indicated day. Orders below 20kg will need to be combined with other orders for production feasibility.
In order to reduce single use packaging, customers are asked to bring their containers for collection of dry ice. A cooler bag/container will be sufficient for small quantities.
For large quantities, there are specialised insulated dry ice boxes which are designed for the handling and optimum storage of dry ice.
Please contact us on info@multigas.com or tel: +356 2249 2000 to discuss your requirements.
Safety and Sustainability
Dry Ice is to be handled with suitably insulated gloves due to its cold temperature. Since it continually sublimates into carbon dioxide gas it should always be kept and transported in well ventilated areas and vehicles. The use of a carbon dioxide monitoring system in indoor areas is recommended to ensure that there is no hazardous build-up of carbon dioxide.
Important: our dry ice is not food grade and should never be put directly in contact with food or drink.
